All secondary students at St Anthony of Padua Catholic College Austral will participate in weekly sport each Tuesday. Students have the opportunity to participate in Competitive Sport (MISA) or School Sport.

St Anthony’s has made an application to join the MISA inter-school competition. MISA stands for Macarthur Independent Schools’ Association. It is an inter-school sporting competition split into two divisions (North and South) and is comprised of 13 schools in the Liverpool and Campbelltown districts. Our college would be part of the North Division which would allow us the opportunity to compete in sports such as:

  • Netball (Girls)
  • soccer
  • Rugby League (boys)
  • Volleyball
  • Oztag
  • Cricket
  • Tennis
  • AFL

Students will also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of weekly sports throughout the year.
Onsite activities include:

  • Basketball
  • Dance
  • Aerobics

Students also have the opportunity to go offsite and participate in physical activity at various local venues. Sports include:

  • Golf
  • Martial arts
  • Indoor soccer
  • Rock climbing
  • Bowling
  • Laser Tag

As our college is located within the Southern Sydney Combined Catholic Colleges region, our students will have the opportunity to represent the St Anthony’s at SSCCC carnivals for selection into the Southern Sydney team to participate at the New South Wales Combined Catholic Carnivals (NSWCCC).

Students who achieve at a high level at NSWCCC will be selected into the State Catholic team and compete at the NSW All Schools competition against all schools from the state. This is a pathway to national representation in a range of sports.

Three major carnivals will occur each year at our college. These include the Swimming Carnival, Cross Country Carnival and the Athletics Carnival.
